The tournaments will be held from March 23 to 29 at the Stella Maris tennis complex, marking the first time Umag opens the season so early in spring. This calendar shift further enriches the destination’s sports and tourism offerings.

A special highlight is the organization of the women’s tournament, which will be held in Umag for the first time.

UTR Umag PTT is part of the official Pro Tennis Tour series, and the tournaments are played for a prize fund of USD 20,000, ensuring the participation of high-level international players and maintaining a strong competitive standard. Please note that the second UTR tournament will take place from June 22 to 28.

What is the UTR Pro Tennis Tour?
The UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) is a global professional platform based on the Universal Tennis Ranking system. It is a unique system that uses an algorithm to assess the level of each player, regardless of gender, age, or location, enabling direct comparability of results worldwide.

UTR Pro Tennis Tour tournaments take place across the globe – in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia – connecting an international network of professional and developmental competitions. By joining this system, Umag further strengthens its position on the map of prominent tennis destinations.

This event marks the start of a rich tennis season in Umag, continuing through a series of tournaments of various levels, including ITF events, with the highlight being the ATP Plava Laguna Croatia Open, now in its 36th year, taking place from July 10 to 18. This confirms Umag and the Stella Maris tennis complex as one of the most active tennis hubs in the region.
