This year's final brought special emotions. Damir Dzumhur of neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina faced young Spaniard Daniel Merida, who lifted the winner's trophy after an outstanding tournament in which he dropped his first set only in the final. Croatia's representatives, led by Dino Prizmic, did not achieve the results they had hoped for this year, but we look forward to welcoming them back for the 37th edition of the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag in 2027.

Alongside the excitement on the courts, this year's music program once again filled the Dance Arena night after night. Spectators enjoyed performances by Croatian and regional music stars, as well as internationally renowned DJs, led by legendary NBA player Shaquille O'Neal, now known as DJ Diesel. For everyone looking to enjoy fine wines and great food, the traditional Taste Istria gourmet zone once again offered a true taste of the region.

Behind every match played, every concert held and every successfully organized tournament day stand countless people. That is why Plava Laguna would first and foremost like to extend its sincere gratitude to every member of the organizing team, employees, associates, volunteers and everyone whose knowledge, dedication, professionalism and hard work helped make this year's tournament another success.

Alongside the team that works throughout the year on every aspect of the event, more than 500 people were engaged during tournament week across ten organizational units and around twenty tournament services, including drivers, Welcome Office and Ticket Office staff, hostesses, line umpires, ball kids, and numerous technical, logistics and operations teams. Many of them come from the local community and, year after year, their commitment demonstrates that the Plava Laguna Croatia Open is much more than a sporting event.

We would also like to extend our special thanks to the citizens of Umag and the entire local community for their understanding, hospitality and support throughout the tournament. Thank you to everyone whose kindness, patience and warm welcome help ensure that players, guests and visitors feel at home in Umag. It is precisely this shared spirit that is one of the reasons so many people return to Umag year after year. We also thank all our sponsors, patrons and partners whose trust and support make the tournament's continued development possible and help us further strengthen its international reputation.
