Rain caused some issues for the organizers and disrupted the schedule, but all 37 matches in the men's competition and 12 matches in the women's competition were successfully completed at the Umag Padel Center courts, as well as on the specially made artificial grass court within the ATP zone at Stella Maris.
The men's competition started with 38 pairs, and the only undefeated pair in five matches were Suevich and Selak. On their way to the valuable title, they defeated the current Croatian champions twice: first in the semifinals against Boran Poljančić and Arthur Vašarević, the indoor champions and top seeds, with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (6), 6:4, and then in the final against Belić and Glasnović, the national outdoor champions and second seeds at the tournament. Until then, Belić and Glasnović had played dominantly, reaching the final without losing a set, but Suevich and Selak were particularly inspired on Sunday.
In addition to the trophy and sponsor prizes, they also received the largest portion of the prize fund, which amounted to 1,000 euros, making Edel Sport Umag the first padel tournament in Croatia with a cash prize for the best pairs.
In the women's competition, due to fewer entries, seven pairs were divided into two groups, with the top two pairs from each group advancing to the semifinals. Tereza Mrdeža and Maja Pribanović claimed the title after a thrilling final against Martina Klimić and Nataša Koraca, winning 6:7 (4), 6:3, 6:2.
Among the 90 competitors in the tournament, which is part of the Croatian Padel Federation's calendar and counts towards the national ranking list, players from Croatia, Slovenia, Belgium, and Chile participated, and it enhanced the sports offer of the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag with exciting matches.
