The new tennis camp PRO Camp Goran Ivanišević, a
part of the Umag Tennis Academy, which will be run by Croatia's
most successful tennis player Goran Ivanišević, as its name
suggests, was just presented. The camp is a continuation of Goran's
return to Croatian tennis, which started with his involvement with
the Croatian Tennis Association, but it is also a continuation of
additions to the Umag academy, the most modern tennis centre in
this part of Europe when the number and quality of tennis courses,
the other tennis infrastructure, and the wide range of top-quality
accommodation in immediate vicinity are taken into
consideration.
Goran will impart his substantial knowledge and experience that he
accumulated throughout his successful tennis career on the younger
generations and on all tennis buffs in the PRO camps. As an active
member and friend of the Academy, Goran will supervise PRO camp
activities and participate in practice sessions, exercises and
tactic development in the field.
"When we opened up in spring this year, we wanted to
continually add to our program offering. We believe that Goran's
partnership with the Umag Tennis Academy is a step in this
direction and we are immensely pleased to have him on our team. We
are aware that many young players look up to him and we are looking
forward to having him impart his experience and knowledge on our
students in the camps", says Alen Greblo,
Director of the Umag Tennis Academy.
Each of the camps will last for one week and they will take place
for three weeks in July and three weeks in September next year. The
camps will include four hours of tennis practice a day with Goran's
presence and advice, a total of 24 hours of practice and nine hours
of conditioning exercises. The quality and personal approach are
confirmed by the fact that there are only four students per each
course and each coach. International students are expected, and the
camp is a great choice for an exciting summer holiday, where
children will learn to play tennis or improve their skills and have
fun at the same time with various activities and summer joys at the
beach. The programme is not designed only for children, but also
for adults.

story and I am happy to have the opportunity to share a small part
of my experience with young tennis talents. I believe we will learn
a lot and have a good time in the process", Goran
Ivanišević said.
Since the Umag Tennis Academy is the Croatian Tennis Association's
official regional centre, the Associations Executive Director
Davorin Prpić extended his support too, adding:
"The quality of infrastructure and amenities, experience and
professionalism are the characteristics that the Croatian Tennis
Association recognized when it declared the Umag Tennis Academy its
official regional tennis centre. I believe the same reasons
motivated Goran to choose it as the location for his camps. Tennis
camps with a superb quality and amenities are not just a great
hotbed of young talents, but also a wonderful addition to Croatia's
sports and tourism offering."
