Vegeta Croatia Open Umag is the new name of the biggest Croatian ATP tournament. The leading Croatian food company Podravka and the Umag tournament signed an agreement on cooperation in Koprivnica, which strengthened the connection between these two internationally renowned Croatian brands.

As the main sponsor of the Umag tournament, Podravka decided to connect the name of its most important brand - Vegeta - with the name of one of the biggest sports and social events in Croatia. "Vegeta is the best known original Croatian product and a phenomenon of a sort, since it has entered the kitchens of consumers in more than 50 countries all over the world in more than five decades of its existence. Through synergy with the Umag tournament, which connects sport with other tourist contents in a very innovative way, we create new value and strengthen the international presence of brands for which Croatia is known in the world", President of the Management Board of Podravka Zvonimir Mrsic pointed out.

In 22 years of existence and constant development, the Umag tournament profiled itself into one of the most renowned tournaments in the ATP World Tour 250 series, which was also confirmed by a series of awards, including last year's award for excellence "Best Fan Experience". During the last year's edition, the television image from Umag went to as many as 132 world countries in 4 continents and it could have been seen by more than 90 million viewers on 15 international TV stations.

That is why the connection with a strong brand such as Vegeta is especially important. I believe that, through the continuation of cooperation with Podravka, we will make a new step forward in the contents of the tournament, because of which Umag is the favourite destination for top sport and entertainment", President of the Management Board of Istraturist and President of the Organisational Committee of ATP Vegeta Croatia Open Zeljko Kukurin said.
