Lord Nicholas Windsor, a member of the British royal family, is one of the most distinguished guests this year, visiting at the 26th Konzum Croatia Open. It's his first time in Istria, following an invitation from the tournament director Lawrence Frankopan.

"It's amazing here, the tournament is very nice", said Lord Nicholas, the guest of honor of the first Celebrity Stage to be held in the Fun Zone every day from 4 p.m. The lord certainly intends to enjoy the Istrian specialties offered at the Istria Gourmet Festival, but will not miss any action on the tennis courts.

While acknowledging that he is not a very good tennis player, he began to play more in recent years. "My sons are pulling me on the court, so I improved my game a little", stated Lord Nicholas, whose family is traditionally associated with tennis.

His father, namely, is the Duke of Kent, who annually awards the trophy to the winner of Wimbledon on behalf of the Queen. The Duke of Kent, is prince George's son, the uncle of Queen Elizabeth.
