The guest of this year’s first Kids’ Week, which took place as part of the ongoing Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, was Croatia’s tennis player Nino Serdarušić, whose arrival to the venue brought absolute joy to the young tennis players.
Using the court next to the Grand Stand, Serdarušić demonstrated a few shots to the children and let them in on some closely guarded secrets of professional tennis players. After hitting a few balls, both the children and the player took photos together, and Serdarušić gave away some autographs.
Following a thorough warm-up session, the young tennis players competed in who could hit a circle on the court, with the best of them getting valuable Babolat prizes. The young tennis hopefuls from around Europe showed some remarkable tennis moves, for which the spectators gave them a loud applause at the very end.
Each day, the Kids’ Week event is attended by more than 50 young tennis players, and their number continues to grow.
