"I do not remember only five winner titles from Umag, but also a lot of beautiful moments which I experienced at one of my most favourite tournament. I am looking forward to coming back, which I have had in mind over the years, and I believe I will leave again with beautiful memories,'' said the "king of Umag" Carlos Moya who will come to the tournament on 22nd July and play in the exhibition match with yet another former winner, Swede Magnus Norman.

"It will be exciting to return to the court where I managed to accomplish such great successes and experienced unbelievable emotions in front of the beautiful audience. You can expect a true show from our match and I will definitely give my best to win Magnus", announces Moya.

Although his first performance in Umag was not the most successful one, as he had lost in first round by his fellow citizen Alberto Berasategui, Moya immediately, as he says, felt the special connection to the tournament. "Umag was like a holiday where I played tennis. It was all ideal, I could relax and this was the secret of my victories in Umag. Therefore this tournament has always been at the very top of all the tournaments I have ever played", remembers Moya.

The thing that makes Umag different from others is also a connection of the local people and the tournament. " One can see that this is the event of the year for the town, and you do not see that on other tournaments. You feel like being at home, therefore I am not surprised that so many players return every year", says Moya.

Moya wishes the win of the young tennis players at this tournament. " I wish final match between Borna Ćorić and Gael Monfils, home boy versus showman - that would be the crown of the tournament. "
