Famous for his on-court stunts, Gael has been known for years as the player whose game is impossible to predict. Back in 2015, he played an exhibition match in Umag together with the world famous DJ Bob Sinclair, Carlos Moya and Magnus Norman. Even than, it was clear that he had an idea for an exhibition match of his own, and his wish will come through this year in Umag.
“I am ready for the main tournament and, hopefully, I will finally manage to win it. I have invested everything I have in my current form. Still, I have to admit that I’ve spent a great deal of time planning for the opening exhibition match. It certainly hasn’t been an easy task, especially when one holds the title of the tennis showman. Every match I play is a sor of a show and I give my very best each time I play, but this is going to be something special. My friends David, Borna and Ivan will help me achieve that, and I’m also counting on the spectators to contribute to the atmosphere,” Gael Monfils said.
The opening night will thus be filled with laughter and entertainment, and the most skillful spectators will have an opportunity to go to the ATP Finals in London as well as the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan.
