Title defender Tommy Robredo and qualifier Pablo Cuevas will play in the finals of 25. Vegeta Croatia Open. Robredo defeated the best Croatian tennis player Marin Čilić in two sets (7:6, 6:3) at the ATP Stadium. During the first set, which Robredo won 12-10 in tie break, Čilić missed seven match points, five of them on his own serve. The loss in the first set visibly upset him, so at one point during the second set he broke his racket. Robredo made a break right at the beginning of the second set and kept it until the end. In the ninth game he had three match points on his own serve and he seized the first one.

In the finals Robredo will play against Pablo Cuevas from Uruguay, who defeated the first seed Fabio Fognini thus continuing the impressive streak which begun in Bastad and marked his twentieth victory in a row. After he won the first set 6:3, Cuevas took the lead in the second set with 2:0, but Fognini then won four games in a row. Just when it seemed like the Italian was on his way to turn the match around, Cuevas made a comeback with four games in a row and secured the second final of an ATP tournament in two weeks.
