This tournament is very important for Umag, Istria and Croatia altogether. We see the abundance of media present, as well as members of government and plenty tourists which is the foundation of our tourist-sports brands. I congratulate the organizers for a job well done", stated the president of the Republic of Croatia, dr.sc. Ivo Josipović during his visit to the 22nd ATP Studena Croatia Open finals in Umag.
President Josipović supported the humanitarian action "Umag's stars for Umag's children" and said: "We saw that Croatia was always willing to aid individuals or groups during their time of need". During the tournament numerous citizens participated in the humanitarian action which gathered funds for children with special needs from Umag.
