It was perhaps his bad luck in fishing or maybe even something entirely different, but last night he decided to cook something way simpler. He prepared pasta in white sauce with truffles under the watchful eye of Chef Damir Modrušan. And even though he is much better with a tennis racket in his hands, it seems that Fognini is quite comfortable in the kitchen as well. He smiled while preparing the dish, joked with those around him and questioned the chef about the origin of the truffles.
In an attempt to defend his title, last year’s Umag winner will play today against Nicolás Kicker, who had beaten former no. 10 Mikhail Youzhny in the first round of the tournament.
