All quarterfinalists of the 26th Konzum Croatia Open Umag have been decided. They are: Borna Ćorić, Roberto Bautista Agut, Joao Sousa, Fabio Fognini, Andreas Haider-Mauer, Dominic Thiem, Phillip Kohlschreiber and Gael Monfils.

Borna Ćorić made his way into the quarterfinals by defeating a Slovenian with a British passport, Aljaž Bedene. After an hour and 24 minutes of play with a result of 6:4, 6:4 Ćorić secured a duel with the second seeded Spaniard, Roberto Bautista Agut, who previously defeated Blaž Kavčić from Slovenia with 6:1, 6:2. 

In the second quarterfinal match from the bottom part of the draw there will be a match between Fabio Fognini from Italy and Joao Sousa from Portugal, which will decide who will face the winner in the duel between Ćorić and Bautista Agut.

First seeded Gael Monfils was quick to dispatch the Austrian qualifier Bastian Trinker who shocked Mikhail Youzhny in the first round. Trinker managed to last only 52 minutes against Mongils and he failed to win a single game in the second set so the match ended with 6:3, 6:0. Philipp Kohlschreiber defeated Paolo Lorenzi in two difficult sets (6:2, 7:5) and now awaits Gael Monfils in the quarterfinals.

The second quarterfinals couple in the upper portion of the draw is the Austrian-German combination, Dominic Thiem-Andreas Haider-Mauer. Thiem was free in the first round and defeated Dušan Lajović in the second in two incomplete sets. After 6:1 in the first set, Lajović forfeited the match with a score of 3:1 for Thiem. In the second afternoon match we had the opportunity to see two evenly matched sets. Finally the Austrian, Haider-Mauer defeated the eight seed Marin Kližan from Slovakia with 6:4, 6:4.
