Once again, on the second day of this year’s wine tastings, there wasn’t an empty seat in the venue – everyone wanted to taste the aged malvasias of the three Istrian winemakers in this year’s competition: Tomaz, Veralda and Vina Istria (Vina Laguna).
The sommelier, Emil Perdec, introduced the guests to this particular wine variety, explaining to them what they should be looking for in a glass of that wine and which food it was best paired with. On this second night, the guests at the wine tasting chose Vina Istria as their favorite wine. Vina Istria thus automatically entered the final round of the 2017 ATP Wine contest. Tomorrow, for the first time ever since the start of these ATP wine tasting events, the guests in the Gourmet Zone will be able to taste cuvee.
At the tasting, Benvenuti, Degrassi and Matošević winemakers will be showcasing their 2011 and 2015 vintages.
