Despite the first round defeat at the tournament,
Antonio Veić was in a good mood when he was
hanging out with the young tennis players at today's Kids Week. He
said that a performance in front of the local crowd is a lot of
pressure for a tennis player.
"I had the biggest desire and I was really looking forward to
Umag, but being nervous got the best of me", he commented on his
performance against Blaž Kavčić. "The atmosphere is great at this
tournament, but unfortunately my game is the worst here. I think it
will be better each time I try", added Veić who played five times
in Umag. Veić spoke about the young tennis players against whom he
played. "These are definitely some promising young players, I'm
sure some of them will have a serious career in tennis.
