The tournament's impressive music program this year features as many as 100 hours of music over the 11-day event. ATP Unplugged Evenings will be held this year for the first time and will feature performers like Damir Urban, Elemental and Franka Batelić. Outstanding entertainment for all visitors is guaranteed by the program of ATP Party Stage, where Croatia's big star Tony Cetinski will give an opening concert on July 20, while the world famous Gabrielle will give her first concert performance in Croatia on July 27. As a present to all visitors and residents of Umag entrance to all events will be free.

The late-evening program at the ATP Party Stage is reserved for lovers of electronic dance music. This year, Umag's audience will dance to Thomas Gold, one of the most exciting DJs on the global clubbing scene.

Gold emerged on the global electronic dance music scene in 2006. As a producer crossing plenty of genre boundaries he has produced a wide range of tracks, from tech house on Toolroom Records to progressive house on Dirty South's Phazing. With remixes for Adele, Lady Gaga, Miike Snow and even Fat Boy Slim he demonstrated his producing talent that was going to take him to great heights. But it was his original track "Sing2Me", released by Axtone Records at Winter Music Conference in Miami last year, that brought him fame. "I have always been passionate about house music because I love its vocals, instruments and the energy it creates," says Thomas. "What I like most is that it is a very positive kind of music, the kind of rhythm that I like to dance to."

His career took off after he made friends with the mafia - the Swedish House Mafia. His inclusion into the SHM family last year on Axtone Records landed Gold with the Fanfare Bus World Tour, the Fanfare radio show on the Sirius XM satellite radio and the status of resident DJ at the new Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

Gold is a fan of different styles: house and progressive house are always the basis, but with influences from trance, techno, minimal and tribal. His tracks are dominated by drums and uplifting melody lines; and unlike most other DJs, Gold performs accompanied by live musicians, drummers and trumpeters.

"The art of DJ'ing is as demanding as a producer's job, perhaps even more so. As a producer you must reproduce sounds that had previously been recorded in a studio, but as a DJ you must establish a contact with the audience and feel their desires, because you are not playing for yourself but for them", Thomas Gold says.

Umag's audience knows what electronic dance music is. Thomas Gold knows how to establish a contact with the audience. That is a recipe for another exciting night in Umag on Friday, July 26 at the ATP Dance Arena!
