The third invitation for 24. Vegeta Croatia Open, which begins today in Umag, will be awarded to the Croatian tennis player Antonio Veić, currently the 173. player in the world. Tournament director Vanja Božičković intended to award the invitation to the young Czech player Jiri Vesely, currently ranked at 91. However, since Vesely entered the tournament directly through the main draw, the invitation remained free and was awarded to Antonio Veić.

The remaining two invitations were awarded to young Croatian tennis players Mate Pavić and Borna Ćorić.
