The fifth edition of a series of wine tastings entitled Hidden Charms of the Istrian Wines have ended in the most festive way possible. The winner's trophy is has always been presented by the country's head of state; however, this year's ceremony was attended by not one but two heads of state, Croatia's Kolinda Grabar Kitarović and Slovenia's Borut Pahor.

Over the past five days, the guests tasted various Malvasias, Muscats and Terans made by some of the most prominent Istrian winemakers and the title of the best wine went to a young Teran by Klaudio Tomaz from Motovun. The wine in question was tasted even by the distinguished guests, and Klaudio Tomaz said he was happy that his wine had been the favorite of the many guests of this year's wine tastings.
