This marks a new era for tennis in Umag, adding more competitions to an already rich calendar of events. Last week, the younger generation had their turn, and now the ITF M15 tournament and the Road to Umag by Podravka series finals will follow. Everything will culminate in the new edition of Croatia's oldest ATP tournament (from July 19th to 27th), featuring top tennis stars such as Andrey Rublev, Danish player Holger Rune, Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka, Italy's Lorenzo Musetti, and Croatia's young hopes Dino Prižmić and Luka Mikrut.

In the ITF World Tennis Tour M15, some of our young tennis players will seek their chance to advance in the professional ranks. Competing for points will be the junior Wimbledon champion from two years ago, Mili Poljičak, along with Vito Tonejc, Duje Markovina, Antonio Voljavec, Lovro Maričić, and Emanuel Ivanišević. Matija Pecotić, who has previous experience playing at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open (having been close to qualifying for the main draw three times), has also registered to compete, making the M15 tournament a great opportunity for our players to progress.

Much is expected from Mili Poljičak, who recently won a tournament of the same level in Monastir, Tunisia, and has reached two finals and four semifinals on the ITF World Tennis Tour this season. Emanuel Ivanišević (son of our legendary player Goran Ivanišević) will be seeking his first singles victory at this level of competition.

Among the international players, 16-year-old Italian Vito Antonio Darderi, the younger brother of rising star Luciano Darderi (ranked 37th), will compete for points. Vito Antonio has just started his journey in professionals and it will be interesting to see how he performs in Umag.
