Italian Andreas Seppi and Argentinian Horacio Zeballos are the third quarterfinal pair of the 24th  Vegeta Croatia Open in Umag. Second seeded Seppi finished the job quickly, after only one hour and four minutes, when his opponent, Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer, surrendered the match due to pain in his lower back. The result at that point was 6:1, 4:0 for Seppi.

The Argentinian derby was ended only after three sets, which lasted two hours and 17 minutes. Although Berlocq, 43rd player in the world and the eighth seeded in Umag, won the first set, Zeballos turned it all around and made his way to the quarterfinals with the final result 3:6, 6:3, 6:2.

The last two quarterfinalists will be decided tonight, after matches between fifth seeded Tommy Robredo against Viktor Troicki, and winner of ATP Umag 2011 Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov against Slovenian Aljaz Bedene.

The first two quarterfinals will be played by Spaniard Albert Montanes against Frenchman Gael Monfils and Italian Fabio Fognini against Slovak Martin Klizan.
