A series of tournaments in Karlovac, Požega and Split, and the Masters in Umag give a chance to Croatian tennis players to compete for the only Croatian ATP tournament

The winner of each of the three tournaments will be invited to the final Road To Umag Masters, which will take place in Stella Maris on 15th and 16th July, two days before the start of the ATP qualifications. In addition to the most successful players from the tournaments in Karlovac, Požega and Split, three players will be directly invited to the Road To Umag Masters. Thus, the Umag final will bring together six Croatian players, and the most successful of them will get the opportunity to play in the qualifications for the only Croatian ATP tournament.

" With this project, we want to help Croatian tennis players and give them the opportunity to fight for a place in our tournament, but also to ensure a large number of quality matches through tournaments in Karlovac, Požega and Split. Since invitations to tournaments of any level, especially those from the ATP series, are never enough, we decided to open the door to all Croatian players in this way. We are aware that this road is extremely difficult and that only one tennis player will eventually win a place in the qualifications of the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, but we believe that in this way we give everyone a chance. In addition, we are glad that this will bring a touch of the Umag tournament to the remaining three Croatian regions and convey at least a small part of the charm that has gathered many fans in Stella Maris for 30 years.", said Tomislav Poljak, director of Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag.

Tournaments in Karlovac, Požega, and Umag will be scored for the ranking list of the Croatian Tennis Association, and only Croatian citizens registered with the HTS will be able to participate in them. Players will be able to find registrations and all the details related to the tournaments on the HTS website.

Umag will be the center of tennis this year as well, where, in addition to the players in the main tournament, almost 500 recreational players will compete in accompanying tournaments, such as the traditional VIP tournament, HEPi tournament, Umag Stars Open and the second ITF tennis tournament in wheelchairs.
