The get-together ended with a joint photo, and Ivanišević left the court to thunderous applause. Later on, the children had fun trying to hit a tennis target, and the most skillful of them were given gifts by Babolat. That ended the fourth day of the Kids’ Week, which teaches children through games daily.
After beating Patrick Rafter in a spectacular exhibition match on Wednesday evening, the very next day Goran Ivanišević joined the young tennis players at the Kids’ Week event, making them enormously happy.
After a protracted warm-up session, Ivanišević shared his impressions of the match the previous night with the host of the event. “This has to be the pinnacle of my exhibition matches. After Rafter, there is no longer a player that I would be more honored to play a match against,” Goran said. Then, six of the luckiest children joined the winner of the exhibition match and played a doubles match, demonstrating their tennis skills.
