At the second day of Kids Week, the best Slovenian tennis player
Blaž Kavčič who participated three times in Umag,
trained with the kids. Roughly twenty kids did a short practice
with Kavčič who, even though he comes from a skiing family, played
tennis since he was four.
"I'll try to play as best I can. I like playing in Umag, because a
lot of Slovenian tennis fans come and cheer for me, however, I hope
that won't create a lot of pressure", said Kavčič. He's aware that
the Slovenian crowd expects a lot from him, but he believes that he
has enough experience to play to the best of his abilities. "I
didn't start the season like I envisioned it, but I got myself into
good shape and my game keeps improving, and I'm hoping to continue
doing that until the end of the season", added Kavčič, the first
Slovenian player in the TOP 100 on the ATP list.
