The guest of this years meeting with children at Kids Week of
ATP Vegeta Croatia Open, last year's winner
Alexandr Dolgopolov thrilled the gathered young
tennis players while exchanging a few points with them, giving good
advice, and spontaneously singing since he loves music. Roughly
thirty kids from Croatia, Czech Republic, Russia and Slovenia
gathered at the court with Dolgopolov.
"I always enjoy coming to Umag because it's a beautiful city, and
besides the weather is great, it's summer and the atmosphere is
fantastic. I'm enjoying myself because there are a lot of people
that come here to cheer for me, and special memories tie me to this
place because it's the first ATP tournament that I've won so I'm
really glad to be here again", said Dolgopolove while adding that
he will do his best at the tournament this year. "My goal is to get
into the top ten players list this year. There's plenty of time
until the end of the season and I have to do my best", said
Dolgopolov. This is the second year in Umag for the last year's
winner, he started playing tennis at three years of age, and his
best position on the ATP list is this year's 13th place.
