Despite the disappointing defeat in the first round,
Ivan Dodig hung out with the young tennis players
at today's Kids Week. Roughly thirty kids welcomed Dodig on the
court and exchanged a few points with him. Dodig agreed that this
tournament is special for him despite the bad result.
"Matches start quite a bit later compared to other tournaments.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the sea is close and the weather is
nice. There are a lot of factors that the players enjoy in Umag",
said Dodig. He added that tournaments like Umag are very important
for young players who are numerous and work hard, so tournaments
like these serve as a great motivational tool.
