Fans of world-class tennis and party already now can book their calendar for Saturday 18th July 2015 when they are due to be in Umag. At the opening of 26th Konzum Croatia Open Umag, the oldest Croatian ATP tournament, Goran Ivanišević and friends announce an unforgettable exhibition match, while the regional singing star Željko Joksimović guarantees to Umag audience a memorable music evening.
Goran Ivanišević plans to repeat and even excel the last year's spectacle, when he along with Thomas Muster, Henri Leconte and Mansour Bahrami opened jubilee 25th edition of Umag-based ATP tournament. When Ivanišević and his friends are on court, the spectators can be sure to see master moves but also experience the supreme tennis entertainment.
"I always happily return to Umag tournament, because this is
the tournament which has a special place in Croatian tennis, but
also the whole ATP Tour. I am very glad that these types of matches
are becoming a tradition in Umag, as they are also common on other
big tournaments. I am sure we will have fun on court, and I believe
that we will manage to transmit our great humour to the
audience", said Goran Ivanišević.
And when the only Croatian Wimbledon winner and his friends leave the court of ATP stadium with cheering ovation, another spectacle, more precisely music spectacle will follow, directed and performed by Željko Joksimović.
"It is a great honour and satisfaction to perform at the
Umag tournament, because I am a big tennis fan and I passionately
follow tennis. At the same time, this will be the first time for me
to perform at such an event. Each year I hold several concerts
throughout Croatia and I always come to Croatia with pleasure. I am
among first singers from Serbia, who held a concert at Arena
Zagreb, and I can still remember the concert at the overfilled
Spaladium Arena or Lisinski and I really enjoy interacting with the
audience. Besides that, I have got a lot of friends in Croatia, I
always gladly and happily come and always feel nice and welcome. I
promise a good performance and I invite everyone to come so that we
can enjoy together on that day", said Željko Joksimović.
The oldest Croatian ATP tournament 26th Konzum Croatia Open Umag will be held from 17th till 26th July and just after the first announcements it is clear that the competition for the title of winner in Umag will be extremely strong. So far their presences at the tournament have confirmed French Gael Monfils (14th at the ATP ranking) then Italian Fabio Fognini (27th) and Croatian sensation at the ATP Tour Borna Ćorić, currently 46th player in the world.
Besides world-class tennis, Umag tournament offers to its visitors equally great entertainment within the Party Nights program and eno-gastronomy pleasures gathered under the form of Istria Gourmet Festival.
