Hepi Tournament gathers buyers of HEP Opskrba in Croatia and HEP Energija in Slovenia, and the number of its participants is growing each year. This year’s doubles edition featured as many as 32 players on eight different courts. Thanks to HEP, each of the players left the tournament with plenty of great memories and awards.
“Our buyers are more than happy that they can participate in the Hepi Tournament. We are especially pleased with the fact that many of them keep returning to Umag, and that every year we also get plenty of new players. Even though this tournament is relatively new, we are proud that it has become a part of another great and quite important story for Croatia, the 30th edition of the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag,” said Nada Podnar, marketing director at HEP Opskrba, adding that for many years now HEP had been supporting sports in Croatia by following and assisting a number of national sports associations on their path to success.
Hepi Tournament is one of seven different tournaments which will take place during the anniversary edition of the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, including ITF Wheelchair Croatia Open Umag by HEP and Umag Stars Open, the latter of which will host a number of Croatia’s most successful professional athletes, former professional athletes, and people from the world of sports.
Marin Lazarić and Matej Nemec are the winners of this year’s Hepi Tournament, which Croatia’s power company and proud sponsor of Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, HEP, has organized for the third consecutive year as part of the tournament in Umag.
The award to the winning duo was presented by Croatia’s only Wimbledon champion and great friend of the tournament, Goran Ivanišević. The second-placed doubles team of Damir Neznanović and Jan Jereb received their trophy from the hands of Goran Prpić, who will be replaying the first ever final in Umag tonight, together with Goran Ivanišević.
