The 27th Konzum Croatia Open Umag ended with a fantastic final match and the win of the Umag's spectators' favorite, Fabio Fognini. The Italian defeated Slovakia's Andrej Martin, thus winning his first trophy in Umag in his nine appearances at the tournament.

It was a fitting end to the tennis tournament in Umag, which this year clocked up more than 10,000 visitors during a very special week. The event began with the tennis legends Andre Agassi, Goran Ivanišević and Juan Carlos Ferrero, who thrilled the spectators just by being on the court. It was also the day when the ATP Stadium was named after Goran Ivanišević, something that Umag will remember for years to come.

"I am truly honored and it's a huge responsibility. I am especially pleased that with me here today, alongside my family, was also my great friend and tennis player who had marked my career, Andre Agassi," Goran said on the occasion.

For the first time ever, following a fantastic men's exhibition match, Umag welcomed the ladies as well. US Open champion Flavia Pennetta and young Croatian Donna Vekić put on a memorable show, while Goran Ivanišević joined them as the umpire.

Besides excellent tennis matches and spectacular exhibitions, this year Umag once again offered outstanding gastronomy and entertainment programs. Throughout the tournament, its visitors were encouraged to try Istrian specialties and top-quality wines, while the Dance Arena was taken over by the biggest Croatian and regional music stars, including Jelena Rozga and Halid Bešlić, as well as famous international DJs such as DJ Nervo and Martin Solveig.

"We are extremely pleased with this year's edition of the tournament, which has offered events that we will all remember for the rest of our lives and we are very proud of that: from Andre Agassi's arrival and the first ladies' exhibition match, to the renaming of the ATP Stadium into Goran Ivanišević. We have also seen excellent matches and some great tennis, and we are already looking forward to next year," Istraturist director and chairman of the tournament's Organizing Committee Ronald Korotaj stated.

"This year we managed to bring tennis legends to participate in the exhibition matches which have added value to this tournament. The tournament itself was also outstanding, with high-level tennis, and I'm extremely happy about that. I would also like to thank my entire team as they had prepared all this together with Istraturist and without whom none of this would have been possible," tournament director Lawrence Frankopan added.
