At this year’s second wine tasting event, titled Skrivene čari istarskih vina (Hidden Charms of the Istrian Wines), Istria’s top winemakers showcased their aged terans.
Cuj, Benvenuti and Franc Arman wineries thus presented three wines each, of different ages and from different soil types, and the resident Filip Savić explained to the guests how they could tell them apart once they had been served. The guests also learned all about the different wine colors and smells, as well as factors affecting the taste of a wine. They also found out more about the various wine varieties and vineyards they come from.
Benvenuti’s aged teran got the highest number of points, thus entering the final round of the 2018 ATP Wine contest, the winner of which will be announced on Sunday. The next wine tasting will take place tomorrow at 9PM, and will focus on sparkling wines.
