Tournament history
2011. - winner: ALEXANDR DOLGOPOLOV
The final match of
the Umag tournament 2011 could not have brought a more interesting
and for the organizer more ideal match. On one side, there was our
Marin Čilić, while on the other side of the net, a World tennis
upcoming star Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov. After a great tennis
match in front of a full stadium in Umag, the Ukrainian tennis
player won his first title in three sets 6:4 3:6 6:3.
A particularly interesting turn of events was certainly the
participation of Marin Čilić (paired with Lovro Zovko) in the
double finals (losing to a combination Bolelli / Fognini). For the
first time, the audience in Umag in 2011, was able to enjoy
watching our player in both finals.
