Trapan & Gretić

Tomislav Gretić became known to a wider audience after participating in one of the popular cooking shows; however, this particular chef has been building his reputation and career for some time now, both in Croatia and abroad, eventually becoming one of the biggest and renowned names on the country's culinary scene. He has headed a number of restaurants and at present he is the head chef at the Rovinj-based Monte Mulini Hotel. Bruno Trapan is a young Istrian winemaker who has, unlike many of his colleagues, built his business on his own, from the ground up. He purchased a plot of land near Šišan and planted grape vines. Trapan's wish is to preserve and emphasize the value of the autochthonous grapevine cultivars and show that southern Istria's fertile red soil is perfect for the success of foreign red cultivars.

Pikol restaurant

Pikol is known as the best Slovenian fish restaurant. It is run by the Gašparin family: Boris, Maruška and the sons Tadej and Taras. The history of the restaurant is more than interesting. Boris and Maruška visited Pikol one day while they were still dating but they could not get a table because the place was too busy. Boris tried to cheer Maruška up, telling her they would own the restaurant one day. And it happened. After more than 20 years, their mission is still quite simple: they love good food, a good drink, a good company and joy. Their guests are invited to make themselves at home and to become a part of the family!
