Andrey Rublev will be playing his first final of his young career. The teenager, who had gone out in the qualifiers but then reentered the tournament as a lucky loser thanks to Borna Ćorić’s withdrawal, now has a chance to become the first lucky loser to win an ATP tournament after Rajeev Ram in Newport in 2009.

Last obstacle will be Paolo Lorenzi, who beat Alessandro Giannessi in all-Italian encounter (6:2, 4:6, 6:3). Lorenzi was the only seeded player left in the tournament, but had only 1-5 career score in his five appearances in Umag. In his sixth visit he is ona step away from the crown.
The final starts on Sunday at 8 PM.
